Lighting a curved wall
Curved walls are an interesting architectural feature and very few homes have them. I see one of my jobs as a Lighting Consultant as highlighting interesting architectural features that sets one house apart from the others and curved walls are a typical feature to want to “show off”! Highlighting them with uplighters in the floor is usually easy (depending on the floor structure) but highlighting them with ceiling downlights can open up a whole can of worms. My wisdom this Wednesday is check the layout of the ceiling joists before planning any ceiling downlights around a curved wall or you could find that they conspire against any semblance of an even layout.
