If you want to use colour changing LED lighting the wiring for it is not the standard 3 core cable most commonly used on site. If you are wanting to use RGB (Red, Green, Blue) colour changing products a 4-core cable is required (one core each for RED, Green, Blue and the final core for controlling the colour changing). If you are wanting to use RGB+W (Red, Green, Blue, plus White) colour changing products a 5-core cable is required (one core each for RED, Green, Blue, White and the final core for controlling the colour changing).
In a lot of circumstances, if you don’t have the correct wiring in place the colour changing simply will not happen and the lights will be stuck on one colour forever.
